What is it about me that means so much to God
that I would face a life with such great odds…
Why does it seem like my heart is filled with scars,
enormous, yet caged by bars…
I’ve had to bathe in my tears,
make love to my fears, and when the pain came I cheered…
You see I’ve learned that the pain has a purpose,
and when we surrender to God- his plan will surface.
I was cut from the rock of the tallest mountain,
the knowledge I seek will flow like a fountain,
the strength I posses can shake the earth,
but I’ll show you my beauties, if you show me your worth.
Tall and erect, I’ll stand true through the storm,
for the peace I reserve keeps me warm.
I am a Man at his best,
from crack to crevice,
from valley to crest.
